Residents of Maricopa are eagerly awaiting the opening of the Copper Sky Recreation Complex, located off of SR 347 and Bowlin Road. The recreation complex will be comprised of the Copper Sky Multigenerational/Aquatic Center and the Regional Park.
Copper Sky Recreation Complex is set to open in mid-March and will hold a Grand Opening for the entire community. The Regional Park and Multigenerational Center will both begin operating at that date; however the Aquatic Center will not open until Memorial Day, just in time for the hot summer months.
Once it is completed, the Copper Sky Recreation Complex will feature extensive recreational activities including: a full fitness center, two pools, eight multi-purpose fields, two indoor basketball courts, a five acre fishing lake, dog park, skate plaza and much more!
Memberships can now be purchased for the Multigenerational Center and will continue to be on sale until the Grand Opening, with a special gift going to the first 100 annual memberships sold. Memberships can be purchased before the opening at the Community Services Desk at City Hall, Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., or you may contact Erica Dillig, Membership Coordinator at (520) 316-6809 or erica.dillig@maricopa-az.gov.
